Objective:
- Interface the LPG sensor MQ5 with LabVIEW.
- Acquire the data as an analog input signal.
- Give a hardware indication with blink light and beep sound when gas leakage is detected.
- Draw the front panel like the figure shown below.
Apparatus Required:
NI USB 6008
LPG sensor MQ5
Transistor BC547
External Power Supply
LED
Buzzer
Breadboard
Resistor 22KOhms
Procedure:
- Connect the component as per the circuit diagram.
- Use External Power Adapter. Make the ground of DAQ and external source common.
- configure the DAQ to acquire analog voltage.
- Fix a threshold value to detect the gas leakage.
- Then take another DAQ asst. and configure it to generate a digital signal, when the gas is detected, for the hardware indication purpose.
- Also, log the data and status of gas leakage in a text/excel file as per the following format.
